Fee Based vs. Commissioned Based Management

 

At Bill Moore & Associates we have built a firm where we can provide advice to our clients rather than be aggressive asset gatherers. We believe this is best done through fee based rather than commission based management.

 

Fee based management tends to put us both on the same side of the table with our interests aligned. By managing this way:

             -You can always be assured you are not being sold, but rather receiving unbiased advice

             -When the market is good we are both rewarded and when the market is down we   suffer together

 

On accounts greater than $25,000 we charge a management fee of  1% of the account balance per year. All investment accounts less than $25,000 we use either commission based or mutual fund “C” shares to allow for fee based management. Family exceptions may apply.

 

Bill Moore & Associates also offers Life, LTC and Disability Insurance. These products are written and serviced through this firm. * Insurance is commissioned based.

 

Bill Moore & Associates will review in-force policies not administered by this firm on a per hour consulting.

$65 per hour staff time

The Advisory Process

 

 

Step One – Information

                

Details of your current circumstances are important so that we are able to offer the most suitable advice. We would not be doing our job properly if we did not ask you for this information. This starts with the Financial Planning Questionnaire which gives details of your current situation and what you want to achieve.

 

All of the details you give us will be treated with the strictest confidence, and you need not disclose anything you do not wish to.

 

Just as you would not expect a doctor to make a diagnosis without first asking some questions about your health, we would not comment on the best way forward until we had confirmed your current financial situation.

 

The completed Financial Planning Questionnaire will allow us to ascertain how we can be of the most assistance and allocate an appropriate practitioner to you with the specialist knowledge and skills to best help.

 

Step Two – Consultation

 

The initial consultation is free and you are under no obligation to proceed. If you choose to go ahead we will clearly detail the likely costs and charges. We can arrange to work on either a fee paying or commission basis.

 

Should we be unable to help, it is at this point we would let you know, without us having made any charge.

 

Step Three – Recommendations and Presentation

 

Our recommendations will set out what you are trying to achieve, what we recommend, why we have recommended that particular course of actions, and how this meets your needs and objectives. The recommendations are impartial, truly independent and are tailored to meet your specific needs. We will always outline recommendations in writing, usually in the form of a report, together with any literature or illustrations from any companies recommended.

 

Recommendations will always be given in the most straight forward manner possible. We believe that in order for you to make the right choices, you need to be given all the options and relevant information in jargon-free terms. Your Financial Practitioner will then discuss the proposals with you and answer any questions you may have. You will always get a written record of the final recommendation for you to refer back to , detailing why it meets your needs.

 

Whether dealing with a simple investment or a complex pension trust, you will be able to understand what we are recommending and why it meets your needs.

 

Step Four – Implementation

 

Once you wish to proceed we will help you complete any applicable forms and ensure that investments or pensions are properly set up.

 

There is a dedicated support team who can be contacted at 800-743-0988 at any time during office hours with any queries you may have, should you Financial Practitioner not be immediately available for you.

 

Continuing Support – Ongoing Reviews

 

We recognize that continuity is important to our clients. We are happy to help you with ongoing reviews and further advice if and when your circumstances change. This again can be discussed and agreed with your Practitioner.

 

Continuing Support – Financial Strength

 

In choosing an adviser, you will want a company who will be there long after you make your initial investment, to help you with your plans and provide ongoing information ad advice. Bill Moore & Associates is a strong, financially secure organization and is well placed to help you review your plans in the future.

· We will contact you regularly on an agreed upon time table.
